I have been trying to get in the lottery for the marathon for five years. After 1st three tries, the NYC Marathon changed the rules for the automatic entry after a certain amount of tries and of course that year I did not get in. Last year even though I was not selected to run NYC Marathon I was fortunate enough to get in the Chicago Marathon on my 1st try so I was glad that even missing the NY one I was able to run in another large event last year.

I am really happy and looking forward to this coming November to be able to run this event. I have an upcoming Tobacco Road Marathon in couple weeks which it will serve as a baseline in preparation for November. This morning during my run, it was overcast, cold and raining, but I can imagine the drivers in the cars passing by and seeing a runner with a smile from ear to ear even in the miserable weather thinking what an insane runner.

It is going to be

   AWESOME!
