Today I was able to complete a big running milestone for me, 300 consecutive days of running. This is definitely something that if you were to asked me couple years ago, the most likely answer you would have heard from me is, “ARE YOU INSANE?!”
The rule was very simple, for the day to count it must meet the following criteria:
At least 2 miles before the day is over.
I have to admit that it was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. 1st thing is that this was not planned at all. It all started when I notice that during a marathon training season I managed to run for couple weeks consecutive days and thought, maybe I can run 25 days in a row. Then it turned into 50, 100, 200 and here we are today with 300 consecutive days of running. There were a few times that soreness, pain, rain, freezing rain, snow, heat, humidity, and many more challenges. Am I planning to run tomorrow?
Yes, I am.
