“If we want to change a situation, we first have to change ourselves. And to change ourselves effectively, we first have to change our perceptions. And to change ourselves effectively, we first have to change our perceptions.”

In 2016 running season, I lost some of the speed I gained from 2015 and the earlier portion in 2016. Even when I was running long miles, there were not necessary actionable or intended miles and with that, it was just a sustained performance rather than speed improvement. Endurance went up, running a 10 miler plus, two or three times a week was no longer a big deal. Changing the perception of what a training plan can and will do for you, it is crucial. To start having faith in the change to the approach becomes an important part to improve. This year I am changing the approach to my runs with more intended run by following a plan that includes a variety of workouts (Tempo, Pace, Hill and Speed workouts). Different mindset for different goals and results.
